Critical Specification Requirements of Steel Structure Warehouse Buildings

1. Load-Bearing Capacity

The steel structure must bear all expected loads. This includes dead loads (self-weight of steel, walls, roofs) and live loads (goods storage, equipment, personnel). It also covers environmental loads (wind, snow, earthquake) based on the warehouse location.

2. Steel Material Standards

Use qualified steel materials. Choose steel grades based on the warehouse's usage and load demands (e.g., Q235, Q355 for common scenarios). Ensure materials meet national or international quality standards. Provide full material test reports.

3. Fire Safety Requirements

Comply with local fire safety codes. Apply fire-resistant coatings to steel components. The fire resistance limit must match the warehouse's fire hazard level. Install effective fire detection and extinguishing systems (e.g., sprinklers, fire alarms).

4. Anti-Corrosion Treatment

Prevent steel corrosion. Use hot-dip galvanizing or spray painting for surface treatment. Check the corrosion resistance of coatings regularly. Strengthen anti-corrosion measures in humid, coastal or chemical environments.

5. Structural Stability

Ensure overall structural stability. Design reasonable bracing systems (horizontal and vertical) to resist lateral displacement. Control the deformation of steel beams and columns within allowable limits. Avoid structural fatigue caused by long-term use.

6. Construction Precision

Maintain high construction precision. Control the installation accuracy of steel columns, beams and connections. Ensure bolted connections are tight and meet torque requirements. Conduct on-site inspection after installation.

7. Roof and Wall Requirements

The roof must be waterproof and windproof. Use suitable roof panels (e.g., color steel sandwich panels) with good sealing performance. Walls should have appropriate thermal insulation and sound insulation, based on the warehouse's function (e.g., cold storage needs better thermal insulation).

8. Maintenance Specifications

Form a regular maintenance plan. Inspect steel components, coatings and connections annually. Repair or replace damaged parts in time. Keep the warehouse dry to reduce corrosion risks.
