Steel Structure Steel Selection, We Should Do What Homework?

1. Selection of quality level
(1) If it is A general non-welded steel structure, then grade A steel can be selected.
(2) If it is welded structural steel, and it is static load, then grade B steel should be selected; If it is dynamic load, then according to the ambient temperature of the structure, C, D or E grade steel structure should be selected, or extra grade steel. In this way, the brittle transition temperature of the steel can be lower than the ambient temperature of the structure.
(3) If it is a structural part with a lamellar tearing force, and it is a steel plate with a relatively thick thickness, it should have the ability to resist lamellar tearing.
(4) For the joint structure, or the heavy welded steel structure with complex stress conditions and harsh working environmental conditions, the standard requirements for steel quality should be improved.
(5) If it is an important steel structural steel, then the choice of its quality grade should be improved.
2. Selection of strength level
(1) If it is an ordinary steel structure steel, its strength grade is generally selected Q235 or Q345.
(2) If it is heavy or overweight steel structure steel, then its strength grade is Q345, Q390 or Q420, or a higher grade.
(3) If it is A cold-formed thin-wall light steel structure, then you can choose grade A when non-welding, and select grade B when welding.
